I have been lazy about posting lately, so I thought I would start up again. We benched Friday and everyone had a good night. Buddy, Moose and I have decided we are going to do the UPA SC meet in a January, so I need to start to work on the weight I can touch in my 2-ply Katana.
Warm up raw to 280 x 1
Add shirt 2-board: 350 x 2, 375 x 1, 400 x 1 1-board: 425 x 1, 450 miss
Shirt off 4-board: 330 x 3 MM style
Accessory stuff consisted of band pushdowns and db rows
Miss-grooved the 450. I thought I could get it since I got 460 to a 2-board a few weeks ago. Next week I will see if 425 goes down to the chest.

Deads from 1” mat: 460 500 550 600 miss 600 it was an ugly gym PR but a confidence builder
Accessory work consisted on Dimel DLs and spread eagle abs. Great time today

12/24 DE Bench
Haven’t done speed bench in about 1 year (and prolly won’t do again for another year). Benching 2/wk is too much on my shoulders and joints.
12/26 DE SQ
Box squat with 80lbs of chains and choked light bands, 265lb, 10 x 1 Speed pulls against doubled MM bands, 185lb, 6 x 1 Band leg curls with average band, 3 x 12 I’ll do some Abs today (maybe)
Pulls against MM bands may be the solution for a hitch-free 600 pull in Jan.

Last heavy session before the Jan 12 UPA push/pull. Shame on me for not trying to touch to the chest in the last 4 months, I really struggled tonight.
Warm up raw to 285 x 1 Add shirt 350 no touch 380 no touch 410 close to touching 420 no touch 420 touch but spent
Maybe I will open in a single ply.

We had a blast today and PR’s were flying. I tried out a pro squatter today and I liked it a lot. The Franz canvas has gotten too tight on me and I don’t have the skill to drive through when it stops 1-2 inches high.
ACE Briefs 140 x 5 230 x 3 320 x 3 410 x 1 460 x 1 Add Pro suit with straps down and wraps 500 x 1 Straps up 550 x 1 600 x 1 625 x 1 PR
Ham curls ups with mini-band, low rows and wheel Abs.
Sunday afternoons baby!

Need to work on: 1. Faster decent 2. Arch 3. Set-up and unracking from mono
It was a great day for the Tribe - congrats to Moose, Buddy and Chainman in their PR’s.
