This is where I started competing when I was a 165'er. This was a "touch-n-go" meet in Charlotte this weekend. I have always had a great time at this here but haven't done it in a few years. This meet was Sharon's very first meet she competed in as well a couple years ago. One of my training partners Chad Tucker competed and won 181's w/ a 515 and he give 550 one h*ll of a ride! Lynn Hodges didn't have the meet he wanted but made it through w/ a 550 and he give 575 & 600 great rides also. I had a good night winning the 220's by formula. I was out benched but for some reason they did all classes top 3 places by formula. I weighed in at 205 which helped a lot. I went 3 for 3...which hasn't happened in a LONG time on the bench. My attempts were 525, 545, and 570 for a PR. These weren't my best looking benches but I got them done with the 570 looking the best. I had hoped to give 600 a ride but after my opener I had to back up and re-group, no prob though I'm used to that. I'd like to thank Sharon, Mark, Will, Chad, Lynn, and all the family and friends that came to help and support me. I'm back to what matters, having fun competing with my friends and having access to beer immediately after didn't hurt at all either! www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIrN69hYVCs
